Join Keeping Memories on Wednesday November 20 2019, from 6:30 to 9pm at Coco J’Adore (1 Little West 12th Street, New York, NY, 10014), in our efforts towards helping gender based brain health research.
November is Alzheimer’s Awareness month, and this year we are also raising awareness about women’s brain health research. Two thirds of Alzheimer’s patients are women, and not enough studies focus on the gender differences. Researchers previously attributed this to the longevity and better verbal ability of women, but we are finding that there may be other contributing factors to the disease. Hormonal levels, genetic composition, age-related variables, and lifestyle practices, provide a broad basis for fair gender research, and new studies add more evidence on biological, and social factors that may affect women differently.
Join us for happy hour to share memories, empower women, bring awareness, raise funds for brain health research, and fill the gender gap in research.
A suggested donation will serve as your RSVP, as well as your generous contribution towards gender based brain health research.
Join before 8pm if you want to take advantage of the Coco’s delicious happy hour. Only your donation is helping fund brain health research.
